The Syracuse Gay and Lesbian Chorus is a volunteer 501c3 organization.  We are currently searching for volunteers to sit on our Development Steering Committee. The members of this committee will research creative ways for funding the SGLC, and present those development ideas to the Board of Directors.  If you have experience with fund raising, research, grant writing, or other related development skills please contact us. Please email a reply to Chair@syrglc.org if you are interested in serving with our group.
Join us for the celebration of our 30th anniversary at our concert, THE RAINBOW CONNECTION, on Saturday, June 15th at 8 PM in the Hochstein Performance Hall.
We will be joined by three other LGBTQ choruses: The Buffalo Gay Men’s Chorus, The Ithaca Gay Men’s Chorus, and the Syracuse Gay & Lesbian Chorus, all of whom were inspired by the Rochester Gay Men’s Chorus to start their own groups!
THE RAINBOW CONNECTION is about pride and empowerment, about the struggles we have had to overcome and the victories our community has achieved in the past three decades.
We will honor those who came before us, and celebrate who we are today as we sing old favorites like “Michael’s Letter to Mama,” familiar tunes like “True Colors,” “Lean on Me,” and “You’ll Never Walk Alone,” and many other songs about Rainbows and what’s on the other side.
